December 15th, 2021 - Riverkeepers pH
pH is a very important water quality testing parameter! In our Riverkeepers Class, we test the water to determine if the water is acidic or basic (alkaline) . Fish will die if the water has a pH level lower than 4, or greater than 11- they need water that is in the neutral zone.
This is one of the favorite tests in the Water Rangers kits- kids love to see the colors change on the test strips! We also had them test different solutions to see if they could guess what was in each cup!
