We've recently been helping the Department of Transportation with a fish rescue mission! DTI has been in the process of replacing an old, degraded culvert, and reached out to our awesome field team for assistance!

We arrived on site and performed an initial site survey. We then installed a barrier net below the culvert, and electrofished above and below the culvert to remove all fish. These fish were then placed in a bucket, and relocated further down in the watercourse, out of harm's way.

In total, 47 fish were successfully rescued and relocated, allowing DTI to do their job without harming fish!
