September 16th, 2021 - Even though we are a WATERshed group, we have been busy working in the dirt!

We have been taking soil core samples, to determine carbon sequestration in 3 different sites. The first site has only grass; the second site has immature willows and shrubs; the third site has fully mature willows and shrubs. By comparing the results from these 3 sites, we will be able to predict how much carbon will be sequestered in our shrub-planting restoration effort on Palmer Brook once it reaches maturity!
