We have launched a Fishing Line Recycling Program!

Did you know that improperly discarded fishing line is not only an eyesore, but it poses a threat to wildlife, and can remain in the environment for 600 years?!

We have placed fishing line collection bins at the HRAA boat launch, French Village Bridge, Smithtown Bridge, Silver Hill Bridge, Tabor Bridge, Hillsdale Bridge, Cassidy Lake and Darlings Lake. We'll collect the used fishing line, and then send it away to be recycled!

Got some broken line in your fishing vest or tackle boxes? Drop it off! Find some fishing line hanging in the bushes? We'll take it! Let's see how much we can collect and recycle this year! ♻️
